The FireEye Mandiant team is seeking an experienced Cyber Operations Manager with expertise in cyberspace operations to support a long-term government client. The successful candidate will have extensive experience supporting operational planning and conducting assessments to support the development of roadmaps and the maturation of Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) environments. The Manager is a seasoned cyber operations and information security Subject Matter Expert (SME) who has a proven track record of tracking and countering threats. The Manager’s work will inform a range of tactical and strategic decisions and should equip audiences with actionable assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform operational planning and risk analysis in support of CSSP activities
  • Assess operational security programs and develop transformational roadmaps
  • Support the establishment and sustainment of core CSSP functions to focused around the detection, prevention and response to cyber threats
  • Operationalize Cyber Task Orders (CTO)
  • Lead a team of cyber operations specialists supporting day-to-day network and cyberspace operations and CSSP functions
  • Lead a team of cyber operations specialists developing network common operating pictures and advanced analytics in support of COCOM constructed networks
  • Support cross-functional collaboration, planning and execution in support of the maturation of CSSP functions
  • Create risk analysis reports describing new or evolving risks tied to Customer’s business areas, partners, products and services
  • Develop new lines of effort in support of the Customer’s mission

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in cyber security managing complex programs
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience executing command and control in the cyber domain
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operationalizing JFHQ DODIN Cyber Task Orders
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with cybersecurity tools to include breach detection systems, intrusion prevention systems, log correlation tools and advanced analytics and workflows.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience responding to cyber incidents caused by internal and external threats to COCOM constructed networks
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience assessing and transforming operational security programs
  • Experience with DISA Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS)
  • Must possess DoD 8570 Baseline Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level III certification
  • Proven technical task management experience
  • Proven experience leading technical teams

  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of internal audiences including senior executives
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and executing on both short term and long-term projects
  • Ability to set and manage expectations with key stakeholders and team members
  • Ability to communicate and establish rapport with a global team
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute with minimal direction or oversight
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
