Our Financial client is hiring Cloud Security AWS Architect in Tampa, FL for 12 month contract.

Cloud Security Architect

• The Cloud Security Architect is a key member of Clients cloud transformation team providing technical leadership and guidance to multiple projects.
• This is a highly technical position for someone who can dive deep into complex application architecture, build cloud-optimized design, migration strategies, recommend Cloud Native Service solutions (AWS, GCP), author reference architecture artifacts and influence technology roadmaps by working closely with Client Engineers and partner Architects.
• Security focused activities includes the following:
• Develop, optimize or recommend security solutions aligned with Client cloud strategy
• Requires familiarity of technology, process and policy definitions for security solutions in the following domains: authentication, entitlement, multifactor, federation, encryption, secrets management, security scanning and monitoring tools.
• Review and recommend updates or optimization of security policies and related processes that impacts the ability for development teams to deploy applications on cloud platforms with confidence in its application security posture and timely implementation
• Provide security architecture guidance to application teams adopting Cloud Services ensuring correct security options are considered and implemented
• Collaborate with the Engineering teams service whitelisting/guardrail process certification of cloud services security features and consumption model
• Develop reusable assets to help speed up Cloud onboarding processes help address vulnerability concerns, develop best practice, lessons learned, and provide optimization approach to security policies, tools and/or solution implementations.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 8+ years of progressive Architecture role - covering Application, Security and Cloud Architecture
• Great communication and team work skills; must be able to work effectively with others within and across departments
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and a decision maker
• Experience with cloud-native architecture
• CISSP, AWS Security or equivalent certification
• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms Amazon AWS (Good to have Google GCP)
• Experience with containers (Openshift Platform/Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with client/server enterprise java j2EE web application development
• Experience with key application middleware (WAS, Tomcat)
• Experience in systems scalability and performance optimization
• Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, RTC, RLM)
• Ability to develop prototypes for proving out new technology solutions
• Knowledge of security solutions authentication, entitlements, encryption, MFA, Federation
• Knowledge of Big data stack is a plus such as Elasticsearch, Hadoop, HDFS, Kafka
