Psychologist

Our Client is a growing healthcare organization that offers its employees full benefits, paid time off and a work-life balance.

The Position: This is a highly responsible, professional clinical position. Licensed clinical psychologist will participate as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare treatment team and under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Complies with organization, Joint Commission or other accreditation standards. Privacy and security regulations must be adhered to at all times. The client is offering the following salary and benefits:

Requirements:

  • Active and current Florida Clinical Psychologist License
  • Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
  • At least two years of experience in a mental health setting
  • Experience in crisis intervention preferred
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological assessment and consultation services to OCHS patients, both adult and pediatric, upon referral by medical provider. Diagnose psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders in accordance with diagnostic criteria and develop a treatment plan accordingly. Provide therapy to groups and individuals using various evidence-based modalities. Monitor patient progress through regular meetings and checkups.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with primary care providers, patients and their family members. Promote important health and mental health outcomes; provide a variety of treatments including intake/diagnostic evaluations, cognitive behavioral therapy, biofeedback, coping mechanisms for pain, and cognitive behavioral therapy to treat substance abuse and addiction.
  • Provide clinically sound treatment services based on treatment plans and ongoing needs of patients. Demonstrates clinically sound, ethical and compliant practices. Maintains thorough and meticulous medical records for every patient.
  • Works with Physicians, CMO, and Clinical Operations Administrator (COA) to ensure all protocols, procedures and standing orders reflect current medical practice. Coordinates with CMO and COA on clinic schedules.
  • Participates in peer review and quality management meetings. Complies with the Quality Improvement, Risk Management and Corporate Compliance programs.
