POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsiblefor the overall coordination of the Chest Pain Center to improve outcomes forthe ACS patient population with the use of evidence-based practice, education, andefficient utilization.

Responsiblefor the overall supervision of service to achieve the Mission to useevidence-based guidelines and a systems focus to achieve rapid identification,care, and treatment of patients with signs and symptoms and/or diagnosis ofAcute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). Community and provider education targeting theprevention of cardiovascular disease is also an important function of the ChestPain Center Coordinator role.  Provideperformance improvement,, achieve fiscal productivity, and patient satisfactiongoals and objectives established by hospital management. Responsible for staffperformance and the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities inaccordance with corporate, hospital, departmental and safety policies andprocedures, to meet both company and regulatory requirements. Responsible foroversight of Cardiovascular related Accreditation/Certification, to include,but not limited to Chest Pain Accreditation through the Society ofCardiovascular Patient Care, as well as the coordination of related processimprovement using evidence-based practices.

Assists the hospital and medical-staffin  meeting regulatory and accreditationrequirements and standards, complying with corporate policies and procedures,managing supplies and equipment in the department, promoting teamwork withphysicians and all health-care providers, promoting internal and externalcustomer satisfaction, and ensuring appropriate resource management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred
• FloridaRegistered Nurse (RN) license required;or appropriate multi-state licensure
• BLS required
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience

SKILLS,KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications,customer service, math, analysis, reading, follow instruction, basic computerusage.
