Syms Strategic Group, LLC (SSG), is seeking an exceptionally talented Change Management Specialist with extensive Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) experience.

Location: Tampa, FL area. Other locations may be considered.

SSG is actively seeking a Change Management Specialist as part of a proposal to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in optimizing the Veterans’ experience. This position supports healthcare in-patient workflow processes.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks requiring the knowledge and skills for a multidisciplinary approach to managing change and transition within organizations, programs, and projects
  • Tasks may include developing plans associated with transition management, implementation of major initiatives, communications associated with major initiatives, risk assessment, and organizational transformation and culture change
  • Complete change management assessments and change management strategy; identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Create actionable deliverables, such as a communication plan, roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, or resistance management plan
  • Support and engage senior leaders, supporting organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
  • Integrate change management activities into project plan; evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Manage stakeholders’ expectations
  • Track and report issues; define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Maintain relationships, define, document, and improve business processes
  • Facilitate and lead the activities in developing value-added processes and solutions that drive customer satisfaction
  • Apply or create the appropriate tools to effectively understand and manage the business
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate operational difficulties and make recommendations to solve problems
  • Required Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Must have previous experience supporting healthcare in-patient workflow processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written communication skills are required
  • Experience working with senior management to understand and document business strategies and requirements
  • VHA experience strongly preferred
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to overall company success
  • Must possess or qualify for award of a Public Trust security clearance
