TRC STAFFING IS HIRING CABLE/MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER WITH IPC J-STD 001 and/or IPC-A-610 CERTIFICATION IN COCOA, FL

Job Description: The Cable/Mechanical Assembler fabricates and tests various cable assemblies, like control cables, ground cables, and multi-pin cables, following blueprints specifications, using measuring instruments, hand tools, and machines.

Location: Cocoa, FL

Number of Openings: 1.

Starting Pay Rate: $16-18/HR/DOE

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Type: This is a Contract to Hire Permanent Position.

Cable/Mechanical Assembler Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fabricates and tests various cable assemblies, like control cables, ground cables, and multi-pin cables, following blueprints specifications, using measuring instruments, hand tools, and machines.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, work orders and specifications to define sequence of operations, type & size of cable fittings required quantity and finished dimensions.
• Measures & cuts cable to required length, using cable cutter or saw.
• Assembles fittings onto cable in specified location.
• Positions fitting cable between dies of swaging machine and depresses pedal to activate machine that swages fittings onto cable, turning cable assembly by hand as fitting is swaged onto cable.
• Verifies dimensions of cable assembly position of fittings, using measuring instruments
• .Repair, rework cable assemblies as required.
• May form loops or splices m cables, using clamps fittings, or by reweaving cable strands.
• Operate crimping machine.
• Mark identifying information on cable assemblies.
• May fabricate cable templates.
• Perform Soldering.

Cable/Mechanical Assembler Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
• Must be J-STD 001 and/or IPC A 610 certified.
• 3-5 years cable assembly experience preferred with mechanical assembler experience.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skill.
• Regularly lift 30-50 pounds.
• Adaptive to physical demands of auditing including continuous walking, warm working environment, bending and lifting parts to audit (up to 50 pounds).
