What We Need We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who will play a critical part in engineering top-notch products and services in a unique industry and at a rapidly growing organization. Are you: Able to Identify opportunities to improve data and business processes through Python or R scripts? Customer focused and results oriented? As the Business Intelligence Analyst, you will work to make sure the organization has the data and insights it needs to make smart decisions and drive continuous improvements. A Day in the Life Take ownership of data and analytics as well as dashboard design and development based on a good understanding of business processes to equip our stakeholders with data centric actionable insights through descriptive analytics and advanced analytics Perform rapid data analysis, data cleaning, data mining, statistical analysis including outlier detection, missing value treatment, distribution analysis, etc. Good knowledge to build automations, data flows, etc. where needed to support new processes that are not yet part of our cloud-based databases Work closely with data architects and data engineers to help build optimal ETLs and data schemas to support our cloud-based reporting infrastructure Own the process of fetching data from various file-based systems like smartsheets; our cloud-based data warehouse located in Snowflake as well as other databases like PostGres, eventually connecting it to MS PowerBI for all data visualization and reporting Ability to identify the right KPIs and metrics including benchmarking, statistical reporting, and exception reporting to best measure a business process and communicate the findings through smart data visualizations Performing structured data validation tests to ensure correct data being reported to the business Maintaining and generating metadata and documentation Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics or a related field of study Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, data cleaning and segmentation techniques Strong knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL, SnowSQL, etc.) and programming (Javascript, XML, etc.) Extensive experience with MS PowerBI, including ability to write DAX formulas, Power Query, and creating data visualizations to report KPIs and metrics, pull data from various data sources and automation, direct querying and batch processing Working knowledge in automations technologies like Power automate, BluePrism, UiPath Basic knowledge of statistics and statistical methodologies for outlier detection and removal, missing value treatment, distribution analysis using histograms and distribution tests Understanding knowledge of data architecture, data schemas and ETLs Analytical mindset, ability to communicate the whole story through descriptive and predictive analytics What’s in it for You • A culture of innovation, empowerment, decision-making, and accountability • Comprehensive health and welfare benefits that serve the needs of you and your family and foster a culture of wellness • Additional benefits and amenities, including paid time-off programs (vacation, sick leave, and holidays) • Flexible work environments Candidates must be willing to comply with a pre-employment background check.
