We have partnered with a large Manufacturing company in the Gibsonton, FL area to provide them with a Blue Light Engineer. (Relocation Assistance Available)

  • Responsibilities of the Blue Light Engineer:

    Develops Blue Light inspection programs, using ATOS Professional, based on customer blueprint and specifications to inspect Gas Turbine Components. This position will create inspection programs for all aspects of the process including tooling, ceramic cores, waxes and investment castings. 

  • Interfaces with Siemens sites and Product Engineering to develop and modify dimensional inspection programs.
  • Identify needs and goals for Blue Light Inspection improvements 
  • Lead improvement projects, and deliver on time.
  • Review customer specifications and blueprints to ensure quality requirements are meet for each inspection routine.
  • Optimize Blue Light Operational Systems including but not limited to; Raw Data storage, Equipment PM’s and Calibrations.
  • Support new technology to support plant initiatives
  • Qualifications of the Blue Light Engineer:

  • B/S in Mechanical Engineering or other related fields of experience.
  • 5-10 years’ experience aerospace investment casting , cored IGT product.
  • Vast Experience with ATOS Inspection Software a must
  • NX experience is ideal
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must be computer literate. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Unigraphics.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
