The Access Response Center (ARC) is a state of the art Behavioral Health clinical assessment and patient placement center. The ARC clinical team is composed of Therapists, Social Workers, Counselors and Nurses who provide mental health assessments for patients of all ages located throughout the hospitals of HCA who may benefit from inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care. As the Access Response Center Shift Coordinator, you will coordinate shift activities for staff, provide regular updates to Emergency Departments, and interface with community partners for patient placement needs. You will be responsible for managing resources, grievances and productivity in absence of the Manager or Director of Behavioral Health Patient Access.

 

What you will do in this role:

  • You are responsible for timely response to phone calls demonstrating good customer service skills

  • You will gather information for clinicians to initiate assessments

  • Help locate available resources and coordinate information to support patient disposition

  • You will coordinate with appropriate parties and physicians through the patient response inquiry, admission, treatment and discharge process

  • You are responsible for tracking and reporting on all key indicators related to calls, assessments, and admissions

  • You will gather information and develop reports outlining activities including volume, response time, and outcomes

Qualifications

Qualifications you will need:

* Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field and holds a professional licensure as an independent mental health professional; or

Higher education degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred, with experience as outlined below

* 1-3 years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting performing clinical assessments or in a clinical treatment setting (RN requires at least 3 years in an applicable mental health environment with demonstrated ability and competency to complete crisis assessments)

* Licensed to perform clinical assessments to determine level of care needs and to diagnose according to the current version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual is required

* Must hold and maintain current licensure as a mental health professional, such as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or RN license (RN requires at least 3 years in an applicable mental health environment with demonstrated ability and competency to complete crisis assessments)
