ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Junior Java Developer. This is a REMOTE contract position running through April 2021 with potential extend to the end of 2021 or convert to FTE. ASSOCIATE JAVA DEVELOPER REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 years as a Java Developer
• Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures
• Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Flexible team player
• Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance
• Must demonstrate initiative and effective independent decision-making skills
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle
• Experience with HTML and an understand of frameworks such as; React.JS, Node.JS, and/or Express
• Experience with APIs, JSON, REST, or similar web service development
• Database knowledge in one ore more of the following SQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB,
• Manipulate data from various sources / formats such as: flat files, relational databases, non-relational databases, XML, JSON, etc.

 
ASSOCIATE JAVA DEVELOPER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience using Agile
• Knowledge of Elastic Stack
• Containerization with Docker, and related orchestration tools such as OpenShift or Kubernetes
• Experience with TDD, code testability standards, JUnit/Mockito
