JOB OVERVIEW

Our client is looking to hire an Analyst, Information Security Application and Data. The Analyst, Information Security Application and Data is responsible for examining security systems, business applications and web applications by scanning them against known vulnerabilities and attacks, actively identify and fix vulnerabilities. Protect enterprise data from unauthorized modification or loss.

Candidate should be experienced in information security and IT risk assessment, with a strong understanding of application security, data authentication, and data security. Candidate should also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work with a wide variety of people, departments through collaboration, knowledge sharing and innovative thinking.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Primary responsibility is to keep the information stored on computers, applications, websites and enterprise networks secure.
  • Ensure that sensitive data isn’t modified inadvertently.
  • Review all internal applications for data security and proper user access protocols are applied.
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and enforcement of security policies as well as regular maintenance.
  • Responsible for creating procedures for data access, backup, and protection; whenever there’s a security violation, this person will be responsible to review and make changes to prevent future incursions.
  • Whenever the data is compromised, tasked with repairing the damage and eliminating the vulnerability that led to a breach.
  • Additional responsibilities include the installation and maintenance of security software, cybersecurity training, and keeping the network secure from a data breach.
  • Compile data for cyber forensics following a breach.
  • Additional responsibilities may include coding, system analysis, and telecommunications.
  • Monitor and guide the security team, cultivating a sense of security awareness, and arranging for continuous education.
  • Remaining up to date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products.
  • Help create technical documentation and manuals
  • QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience in data security and applications security
  • Experience with Auth0, Splunk, Rapid7 and AlertLogic a plus
  • Must have experience working in a technology department.
  • Strong oral, written and communication skills is important in collaborating with colleagues and other teams across the organization.
  •  Ability to handle stress and work under pressure with professionalism.
  • The ability to interact with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and races.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be aware of the methodologies used for role-based authorization and policy formation.
  • Possess knowledge and expertise of security procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of HTML, web-based applications and systems.
  • Aware of the mythologies associated with third party auditing and cloud risk assessment management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Customer-oriented attitude
  • Experience with network security, vulnerability management, Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Authority to Operate (ATO), and incident response
  • Security information and event management (SIEM) experience
  • Experience with security documentation controls, assessment, ATO audits, and tool experience
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment and being part of team discussions and innovative thinking.
