Daily Responsibilities of the Medical Billing Specialist:
30-35 claims/accounts per day; Must be organized/able to handle follow up 55 appeals per day Will be responsible for dealing with up to 30 HCPC codes Requirements for the Medical Billing Specialist Position:
High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of two-three years of medical billing/collections/claims experience necessary. STRONG MEDICARE AND MEDICAID, KNOWLEDGE WITHIN THE CLAIMS/APPEALS/DENIALS PROCESS Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement processes and procedures. Has worked with multiple PAYORS Understands the Appeals PROCESS Experience with HCPC Codes (will be responsible for dealing with up to 30 in this role) Computer efficient Ability to work with other employees and aid as needed Proficient in basic PC skills (MS Office) Organized work habits, accuracy, and proven attention to detail, with strong analytical skills Ability to work within a team setting and as an individual contributor Excellent oral and written communication skills Self-directed with the ability to work with little or no supervision Hours for this Medical Billing Specialist Position:
Monday – Friday; 9:00am – 6:00pm
