AML Research Analyst - Immediate need - Clearwater

Our client, a leading Financial company is hiring a AML Research Analyst  on a 12 month Contract basis.

Role: Research Analyst

• The Research Analyst role is responsible for conducting research on clients and prospects in support of Know Your Client, Enhanced Due Diligence, periodic reviews, client onboarding and prospect registration.
• Various data sources and tools are used in support of this research including External Data sources, internet, internal applications and databases and periodicals.
• Internal clients include senior management, banker teams and compliance.
• Candidate must be detail oriented and thorough.
• Conduct research on individuals and companies in support of Know Your Client, Enhanced Due Diligence, periodic reviews and client onboarding by searching news, biographical and company intelligence databases, as well as public records:
• Background Search/Identity Verification
• Negative Reputation Search
• Source of Wealth
• Corporate/Foundation filings and document
• Government agency and court filings
• Evaluate different databases to determine which ones contain the best information and are the most cost effective in providing the data requested by internal clients.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of the following data sources: Lexis-Nexis, Financial Information Company Capital IQ, Hoovers, Avention, the LP Source Galantes, FactSet, PACER, Proquest, Wealth-x, Companies House, MSA Profile, Financial Information Company Rating Direct, Corporate Services Company
• Knowledge of public records
• Strong MS Office skills including MS Access, Excel and SharePoint
• Ability to aggregate and summarize data
• Masters of Library Science or Masters of Information Sciences required
• 2+ years related work experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Team player and be able to leverage required resources in the organization
