Accounts Payable Clerk - Saint Petersburg

Accountemps is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a growing company in Saint Petersburg, FL. This is a temporary to hire role that can pay up to $18/hour on a permanent basis depending on experience and location. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing supplier invoices and payments. This individual will review, match and process all supplier invoices for multiple companies. This individual must be able to handle a high volume of transactions efficiently and accurately and work well under tight deadlines. This role is also responsible for journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Daily reporting of all payment activities
• Processes all supplier invoices – po related and non-po
• Ensures correct approval, coding and matching of invoices/receipts. Identifies discrepancies and resolves prior to processing
• Corresponds with suppliers and responds to inquiries
• Prepares checks, wires and ACH transactions
• Reconciles Accounts Payable general ledger accounts
• Scans documentation into M-Files software
• Contributes to department KPIs and improving processes
• Participates with projects as required
• Reconciles supplier statements
• Processes agent commissions
• Maintains and reconciles petty cash
• Continuously improves voucher/payment processes
• Assists with month end closing: journal entries, sales tax filing, general ledger account reconciliations
• Prepares AP audit documents for annual audit and assists the teams with other documents for annual audit, as required.
