Accounts Payable Clerk - Pompano Beach

Robert Half Accounting is working with a client in Broward County for sourcing an Accounts Payable Clerk!

Day to day: Processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk.

How you will make an impact

- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

- Provide customer service to internal business partners

- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

- Accomplish full-cycle A/P

- Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)

- Microsoft Excel experience

- Must have Microsoft Great Plains Accounting

- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

- Detailed and have the ability work independently
