We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer to help drive innovation and transformation for their global enterprise network. Qualified candidates should have at least 5+ years of network design and implementation, working across wide range of telecommunication technologies and services.

 

Responsibilities of the role

 

  • Problem management, capacity management, service acceptance, event management, performance management, and standards compliance, with a focus on service restoration, sustainability, and proactive service improvement.

  • Provide Third Level Network Incident Management via an on-call rotation for incident tickets not resolved by Level 1 or 2; with a primary focus on service restoration.

  • Provide technical guidance for Critical Incident conference calls, able to identify required resources beyond telecommunications. Collaborates with 3rd party suppliers for identified root cause for chronic incident.

  • Problem Management - Responsible for monitoring and initial review, assessment, classification of Problem ticketing queue using ServiceNow. Ensure problem owner is assigned. Review Problem records to see if similar problems are on record.

  • Collaborate closely with peer IT organizations .

  • Highest escalation point for critical and/or chronic incidents, provide subject matter leadership to L2 Operations, helping to restore service.

  • Key contributor in the definition and generation of new tools and automation capabilities, driving software defined capabilities that improve outcomes, minimizing risk, and promote agility.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical/IT field, OR in lieu of a college at least 3+ year meaningful experience.

Technical Requirements and Experience

  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, Microsoft Azure, AWS Cloud, F5, Firewall, Security.

  • Carrier Services – WAN Circuits, MPLS, VPN, VRFs, DWDM, Point to Point

  • Networking infrastructure suppliers and service offerings including; Cisco Firewalls (FMC/FTD), Viptela, F5 Networks, Aruba, Juniper, CradlePoint, Zscaler, and Avaya.

  • Experience with applications and services such as; Cisco ACS/ISE, Ansible, CA Spectrum, Plixer, Netbox, Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, Infoblox, Netscout, Netbrain, ThousandEyes, ServiceNow, Wireshark, and Splunk

  • Deep technical hand-on experience in SDWAN, Wireless, Firewall, Routing and Switching, DCNM/VXLAN, and IPAM

  • Solid understanding of network features and protocols such as spanning tree, TCP/IP V4/V6, SIP, ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, Etherchannel, 802.1Q trunking, MLS, HSRP, GLBP, VSS/VSL, QoS, Multicast, 802.11x, IPsec, RADIUS/TACACS+, SNMP, NTP, and HTTP

  • Familiarity with IT governance standards and compliance including ITIL, PCI, and SOC

  • Experience in standard load balancer design, SSL termination, and overall application/solution design (L4-7)
